About
About you
I believe that a Parkinson’s diagnosis should not mean giving up strength, confidence or independence.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist and certified PWR!Moves Instructor serving Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Duluth, Suwanee, Roswell and nearby communities. I provide individualized exercise sessions in the comfort and privacy of each client’s home.
My approach combines Parkinson’s-specific movement principles with strength, balance, mobility, posture and functional exercise. Every program is adapted to the client’s current abilities, personal goals and daily challenges. I work at an appropriate pace while still providing the encouragement and progressive challenge needed to make exercise productive.
As a 70-year-old lifelong fitness enthusiast, I understand how important it is to remain strong, capable and active as we age. I also understand that every person living with Parkinson’s experiences the disease differently. That is why I do not use a one-size-fits-all workout.
My goal is to help each client:
* Move with greater confidence
* Improve strength, balance and mobility
* Maintain everyday functional abilities
* Develop a safe and consistent exercise routine
* Remain as active and independent as possible
I welcome communication with a client’s physician or physical therapist when appropriate. My services are designed to complement medical care and rehabilitation—not replace them.
If traveling to a gym or group class is difficult, uncomfortable or inconvenient, I can bring a personalized Parkinson’s-focused exercise program directly to you.
I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation for individuals with Parkinson’s and their care partners. We will discuss your goals, current abilities, exercise experience and whether in-home training is an appropriate fit.
