About you
Dr. Nikki Gronbeck, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS, is a board certified and licensed physical therapist, athletic trainer, and certified strength & conditioning specialist with a strong clinical focus in neurologic rehabilitation, particularly in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. She is passionate about helping individuals maintain independence, confidence, and quality of life through purposeful, evidence-based movement.
She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, cum laude, from William Paterson University of New Jersey. Her early career as a certified athletic trainer shaped her deep understanding of human movement, injury recovery, and performance, and continues to influence her hands-on, movement-centered approach to patient care today.
Dr. Nikki has experience across orthopedic, sports medicine, and neurologic settings, including acute rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and research-based environments. This broad exposure has strengthened her ability to connect clinical findings with meaningful, functional outcomes for every individual she treats.
She has pursued advanced training in movement-based rehabilitation that is specific to helping patients/clients with Parkinson’s Disease including LSVT BIG, PWR! Moves, and Rock Steady Boxing 1:1 Clinician certifications. Her clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, postural instability, and age-related mobility decline. She is especially enthusiastic about early intervention and long-term movement strategies that help individuals with Parkinson’s disease continue doing what matters most to them.
Her previous experience as a rehabilitation technician and athletic training professional also gives her a solid foundation in patient education, communication, and building trust over time. She understands that progress in neurologic rehabilitation is not only physical, but also deeply personal.
Above all, Dr. Nikki is committed to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where patients feel seen, understood, and empowered. She believes that movement is both medicine and a form of independence. She works closely with each patient to help them move with greater confidence, stability, and purpose at every stage of their journey.
