Lenisson “Lenny” Carneiro, PT, DPT, CEEAA, GCS

Dr. Lenisson Carneiro, “Lenny”, is a Physical Therapist graduated in 2005 with honors at the Brazilian Institute of Rehabilitation in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, where he received his Bachelor's degree. Lenny has worked intensively with neurological patients, especially Parkinson’s, incorporating new techniques, strategies and further knowledge on a daily basis. He is a PWR! Moves Instructor/Therapist and a Certified Clinician of LSVT BIG programs, specific programs which address impairments related to Parkinson’s disease. Also, Lenny became a Certified Exercise Expert of Aging Adults (CEEAA) and a Board Certified Geriatrics Clinical Specialist (GCS) through the American Board Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). He is also a Clinical Instructor (CI), endorsed by FPTA (Florida Physical Therapy Association). In February of 2020, he earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. His clinical interests are centered around neurological conditions involving adults and older adults with Parkinson’s disease and other Movement Disorders, Stroke recovery; and cognitive and motor impairments, gait and balance rehabilitation in a multi-disciplinary geriatric/neurological care. Now, Lenny is a Head Coach of Rock Steady Boxing at Dr. Physio Therapy & Wellness leveraging an intensive fitness program helping boxers fighting against Parkinson's disease.
