I have always been interested in fitness and keeping my own body healthy and moving. As we age our workouts change, recovery time increases and our bodies need new or different ways to help repair, keep moving, and maintain the lifestyle we enjoy. For me that meant having to research the best ways to help myself, whether it be a different approach to my daily workout, active recovery workout days, self myofascial techniques or stretching. I knew I was not alone in my desire to stay healthy and move the way I wanted to. A year ago I decided to work towards getting my Personal Trainer Certification so I could help others achieve their own fitness goals.
Working with people with Parkinson"s is so personally motivating. Seeing the dedication to physical activity and fighting against the disease is inspiring and demonstrates the strength all humans are capable of.
I focus on senior fitness so that you can maintain quality of life, participate in activities you enjoy, regain the ability to participate, lower risk of falls, and improved cognitive function.
