Happy Holidays from the Parkinson Wellness Recovery team!
As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the challenges, hard work, and successes of 2018…all of which add up to a great impact on the lives of those with Parkinson disease. Some of our highlights include expanding (i.e. doubling) the number of PWR!Gym physical therapists, training nearly 1000 therapists and fitness professionals in PWR!Moves across the US, Canada, and Malaysia, launching the 2019 Bowden Challenge, and most of all, seeing clients maintain and improve their quality of life.
Throughout 2018, and with the support of our members, friends, supporters, board members, volunteers, interns, and staff, PWR! helped people all over the world live their best physically, cognitively, socially, nutritionally, spiritually, and creatively. Thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly to make an incredible impact! We appreciate you!
I also offer my sincere gratitude to those who have donated generously to PWR! throughout the year. Together, we are ensuring people with PD receive the services and support they need, inspiring and encouraging them to realize their full potential, and helping them get better and stay better with exercise.
As this season of giving kicks off, many of you have asked how you can help sustain the work of PWR! for people with PD across the globe. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you about the difference your donation makes, or, you can visit our donation page here. Please know that your support means the world to the people we serve!
Again, happy holidays from all of us at Parkinson Wellness Recovery. Together, let’s have another PWR!ful year in 2019!
With sincere gratitude,
Kimberly Peute, COO, CEO (Acting)
