Advocacy Alert: Advisory Council on Parkinson’s Research, Care, and Services (ACPRCS) Meets

The inaugural Advisory Council on Parkinson’s Research, Care, and Services (ACPRCS) met for the first time in late June to help advance a national effort to prevent, diagnose, treat, and ultimately cure PD and related disorders. The meeting featured PD Congressional champions, Representatives Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) and Paul Tonko (D-NY) and an overview of the National Plan to End Parkinson’s Request for Information Strategy, which seeks input from the PD community on important gaps and opportunities research, care, and services. The Advisory Council will continue to meet regularly going forward, with their meetings streamed live.
