Vanessa Peraza, PT, DPT

Dr. Vanessa Peraza is a South Florida native dedicated to providing high-level, specialized care to patients with complex neurological and orthopedic needs. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Saint Augustine, where she first began her specialized work with the Parkinson’s disease population through the university’s affiliation with the Rock Steady Boxing program.

Clinical Expertise & Specializations:

While Dr. Peraza treats patients across the lifespan for a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, including rehabilitation following joint replacements, tendon/ ligament tears/repairs, chronic/acute pain, and limited functionality and strength, her clinical passion lies in neurological rehabilitation. She currently serves as the Lead Physical Therapist for the Parkinson’s Disease Interest Group at her current place of employment and is a PWR! (Parkinson Wellness Recovery) Certified Therapist.

Her areas of special interest include:
-Neurological Conditions: Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke recovery, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, and General Neuropathy.
-Vestibular Rehabilitation: Specially trained in treating balance disorders and dizziness.
-Functional Longevity: Utilizing her background in recreational therapy to improve the overall quality of life and engagement for her patients.
