Edward Nadolny, PTA

I am a physical therapy assistant with over 11 years of experience working with people with Parkinson's Disease. In May 2014, I began my PTA career working at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital on Cape Cod in Orleans, Massachusetts where I provided physical therapy in an outpatient setting. I was fortunate enough to work under one of my mentors, Heather Merrill, MSPT, who specialized in treating Parkinson's Disease. Heather is also PWR!Moves certified. Besides treating people in the clinic, I was part of a team that instructed Parkinson's Wellness and PD High Intensity Interval Training classes. I also volunteered at Spaulding's Rock Steady boxing program. In September 2021, my family relocated to Honolulu, HI. I received my PWR!Moves Therapist Certification in September 2022 and I have been using PWR!Moves in therapy and in class ever since. In July 2024, I began working at Bayada Home Care where I care for people who are home bound with the hope of helping them return to higher levels of function so that they can live life to the fullest. In the home care setting I have been able to use PWR!Moves to treat people in the advanced stages of PD. I also regularly attend a PD Support Group in Honolulu and have introduced several people to the PWR!Moves training philosophy. In all honestly, I fell into the PD community by chance. In saying that, it has been one of the most rewarding and transforming experiences in my life. I have a deep commitment and passion for helping people navigate the devastating impact PD can have on them and their families. The people I have met on this journey are resilient, hardworking and committed to fighting this disease. Many of these people are now some of my closest friends. It's been an honor and a privilege to walk with them on their path.
