SATURDAY, 9:40-11:30am

Learn about the most recent advances in basic and clinical science research suggesting how exercise may slow disease progression for people with Parkinson disease (PD). Understand how a PD-specific approach to functional exercise counteracts symptoms. Participants will rehearse four basic PWR!Moves skills (antigravity extension, weight shifting, axial mobility and transitions) using high effort in multiple positions. Observe how these movements can be integrated into group classes and/or training sessions, to promote better function!
