What Toxins Are In Your Environment?

Toxic chemicals are part of our everyday life.  They are in the air: car pollution, air fresheners, cleaning sprays, perfumes. They are in our foods: pesticides when growing, pesticides and wax coatings to keep our vegetables “fresh”.  How do we reduce our exposure to these chemicals?

1.       Buy non-toxic or environmentally friendly cleaning supplies

Many stores are now carrying healthier versions of cleaning supplies. Target carries Mrs. Meyers cleaning products, Costco carries their own brand of non-toxic, environmentally friendly dish soap and laundry detergent. 2.       Eat organic foods

Eating organic foods lessens the amount of toxins you are ingesting.  Organic foods are grown without pesticides; while you can wash your fruits and vegetables after you purchase them, pesticides are still buy effexor cod absorbed by plants during the growing process.  The best way to avoid these pesticides is buying organic when possible.

 

3.       Reduce exposure to chemicals

Avoid using pesticides, spray paints and air fresheners. You can absorb chemicals into your body by inhaling the air around you, touching chemicals through bare skin and ingesting.

 

4.       Detox your body

Fresh fruit, green vegetables, garlic, green tea, citrus and WATER are all natural ways to help detoxify your body.
There is no way to completely avoid toxins. There are too many sources contaminants in food, junk food made of lab created ingredients, pesticides, pollution, etc. Maintaining a diet high in detoxifying foods and choosing less toxic household supplies are two of the best ways to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment.
