Jennie graduated from Linfield College in Oregon in 2007 with a B.S. in exercise science and a minor in Spanish. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania in 2010. After graduation she moved to Jamaica to serve in the rural mountain regions on the south coast, treating primarily in homes and in a small outpatient clinic with clients of all ages and acute to chronic issues. In 2012, she moved to Virginia and has served as both a home health and outpatient physical therapist. She believes in promoting overall health and fitness across the age spectrum, and has a passion for empowering those with Parkinson’s Disease. In 2014, she became certified in LSVT BIG®, receiving additional training in PWR! in 2019, further qualifying her to assist those with Parkinson's Disease to live their best life possible. Her mother was diagnosed with Parksinson's in 2015, fueling that fire to assist those fighting back against this disease. Jennie, her husband and four children currently reside in Newport News, Virginia. After taking a four year hiatus to stay at home with her family, Jennie opened up AGATE Therapy & Wellness, LLC in the beginning of 2024. AGATE will allow her to offer high-quality, 1-on-1 specific skilled and wellness care to those in Hampton Roads. God willing, she will be able to grow this into a practice with programs that will assist in empowering those with neurologic issues and overall debility to lead their best life and achieve their goals long term.
