Rachel Kaufenberg, PT, DPT is a physical therapist at Struthers Parkinson’s Center, designated a National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) Center of Excellence for its comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to management of Parkinson Disease and related movement disorders. Rachel has completed PWR! (Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery) clinician training, Nordic walking instruction training, and has also become a certified LSVT Big clinician. In addition to working as a physical therapist, she leads a weekly Parkinson’s specific high intensity community exercise class at Struthers called PWR!. Rachel presented a poster at the 4th World Parkinson Congress in Portland, OR September 2016. She has also presented at numerous local conferences and educational/outreach events geared for both health care professionals as well as individuals with Parkinson’s and their families/care partners in regards to evidence based management of Parkinson disease.
