September PWR! Move of the Month

PWR!Up from seated to standing

The timed sit to stand is an assessment used by physical therapists to measure functional strength in the lower extremities. Transitioning from a seated to a standing position is a skill that we use frequently throughout our day and often becomes impaired with Parkinson disease. Practicing this skill frequently will help you build strength in your lower body and help with transitions. This month’s Move has you PWR! up in a seated position to a standing position. Try to do 20 repetitions daily!
